At Angelic Inspirations we don’t only want to help you find the dress you’ve dreamed of, we want to make it an experience you’ll never forget.
We know that each of our brides is unique and, when you arrive for your appointment, our bridal stylists will get to know a bit about you, the ‘vibe’ of your wedding and what you’re looking for in your perfect dress. However, there are a couple of things you can do before you arrive at the salon that will help you to make the most of your time with us.
1. Undies!
You can wear whatever kind of undies you like to your appointment. But the best are light in colour or nude and aren’t too high on the waist. Many dresses include laces, light or sheer fabrics and are best seen without contrasting fabrics beneath them.
Unsure about whether to wear shapewear to your appointment?
Again, it’s by no means necessary but if you think you will feel more comfortable then go right ahead.
2. What About A Bra?
Most wedding dresses have built-in support, making bras unnecessary.
While gowns also tend to look significantly better without a bra we understand that some women simply feel more comfortable with some added coverage and/or support. So, again, wear whatever will make you feel most comfy and relaxed – if in doubt a nude strapless is a great option. You might opt to start with a bra and then, once you get your bearings, take it off for later dresses.
3. Choose Your Crew Carefully!
We’ll be honest: less tends to be more when it comes to the number of people you bring with you. Unlike some salons, we don’t impose limits on how many support crew you can bring – and many of our brides either come alone or opt to bring just one trusted friend with them – but we do recommend that you keep the number low if you can. It keeps the focus squarely on you, reduces the amount of noise and movement in the room and keeps the process of deciding on your dress as calm and simple as possible.
4. Last But Definitely Not Least.
Try and keep an open mind. This is the most important one. All our brides are different. Some come with a very firm idea of what they’re looking for, others, none at all (and we love working with both!) But even if you feel like you know exactly what you want in your wedding dress, the best advice is to keep an open mind, right up to the point that you get your ‘yes’. Because the dress you never knew you wanted can sometimes be the one that blows your mind! We can’t wait to help you find your dream wedding dress at Angelic!
